People in Need Moldova, with financial support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic (Czech Aid), and in collaboration with UNICEF is implementing a project dedicated to supporting vulnerable children in the Republic of Moldova, as well as refugee children from Ukraine. This project targets children already enrolled or planning to enroll in middle and high schools who need financial and non-financial assistance to support schooling.

Project Objectives

The project aims to improve the well-being of vulnerable and refugee children through two main forms of assistance:

  • Financial Assistance: This is intended to support the educational needs of refugee children from Ukraine and vulnerable Moldovan children, providing them with the necessary resources to continue their studies in a safe and suitable environment.
  • Winter Clothing Vouchers: These vouchers are designed to help children prepare for the winter season, giving them access to the necessary clothing to withstand low temperatures.

Beneficiary Selection

The number of pre-selected vulnerable children who will benefit from this project is limited. The selection process is conducted with great care by the People in Need Moldova team and is based on criteria approved by the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova. This ensures that the aid reaches those who need it the most.

The pre-selection process of phase 1 was finalized on July 19th. For the next step of final selection, pre-selected people will receive a text message between Wednesday 24th July and Friday 26th July with more detailed information about what to expect for the next phase.

Pre-registered people living in Anenii Noi, Balti and Chisinau will be invited on specific days and times at different infopoints. PIN kindly requests all to arrive at the communicated infopoint and designated timeslot in their SMS.
