Salary range - 17550,00 – 24960,00 MDL brut, based on experience and profile

Education & Work Experience:

  • Higher education degree in Education or Pedagogy is highly preferred.
  • Internship and/or relevant experience with either international organizations, national civil society organizations, or educational institutions.
  • 3 years of experience, 1 year of experience in the NGO sector in positions that entail responsibility for project activity implementation or support of local partners; experience in managing/supporting education projects highly preferred.
  • Languages: English(required); Romanian/ Russian(desirable).

Position Overview: 

Working under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Project Assistant/Officer will support the education and child protection programme response to the Ukrainian refugee crisis, assisting the overall project administration, procurement, coordination of events and activities, monitoring and evaluation, reporting, and other on demand tasks of the Country Programme, under the PLACE, and DEDAL projects.
The EiE Project Assistant/Officer (PO) reports to the Project Manager who is his/her line manager. S/he closely cooperates with other members of the emergency response team, mainly with the Emergency Coordinator, but also with the Protection Manager for any protection-related tasks. Further, s/he closely cooperates with other PIN departments, especially the Procurement and Logistics department, Communications department, and Finance department, for ensuring compliance and a smooth implementation of daily project activities. For project data reporting, the EiE PA/PO will also cooperate with the MEAL department.
Duties & Responsibilities: Furthermore, the Project Officer sets an example to others, and especially the partners, through adhering to, and actively promoting PIN’s Code of Conduct and Core Policies (including Safeguarding, Anti-Corruption, and Whistleblowing policies).

Qualification:

  • Higher education degree in Education or Pedagogy highly preferred.
  • Internship and/or relevant experience with either international organizations, national civil society organizations or educational institutions.
  • At least 1 year of work experience (ideally three years) in positions that entail responsibility for project activity implementation or support of local partners; experience in managing/supporting education projects highly preferred.
  • Languages: English(required); Romanian/ Russian(desirable).
