Salary range – 12.920,00 - 18.620,00 MDL gross

Education & Work Experience
Qualification:
  • completion of Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree in Social Science, Human rights, or a related field.
  • minim. 1 years of experience in humanitarian/development projects, or a similar role, preferably within an NGO or humanitarian organization;
  • strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining data accuracy and consistency.
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with both colleagues and external partners.
  • good organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and respond to emerging needs.
  • willingness to travel frequently within Moldova, including to remote locations.
  • languages – English/Romanian/Russian Fluent in all aspects

Background

People in Need (PIN) is a Czech non-governmental organization that provides relief aid and development assistance while working to defend human rights and democratic freedom. It is one of the largest reliefs and development organizations in post-communist Europe and has administered projects in 37 countries over the past 30 years. From 2009 onwards, PIN has added development programmes to its work in Moldova, building a vision and practices that keep people and communities at the centre of our work. Throughout its presence in the country, PIN has been contributing to the development of following sectors: Sustainable Livelihood and Environment, Social Inclusion and Protection, Good Governance.

Position overview: 

The Project Assistant will take part in the implementation of the multiple projects in Social Inclusion and Protection department, predominantly in “COMM.Unity Planning - Comprehensive solutions for social services in Moldova” funded by the CZDA and implemented by PIN Moldova and its partners with the involvement of the Government of the Republic of Moldova and local public authorities.
The aim of the Community Planning project is aiming at further developing the mechanism for transparent community planning of social and related services based on demand, real needs and resources available in the community. Also, the project will support the development of Homecare centres as financially sustainable service providers who can offer their services on regular basis. The mechanism of community planning and sustainable social service providers will serve the public administration in Moldova to improve the social services planning system and respond to the needs of vulnerable people.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Junior Project Manager in achieving the overall objectives and indicators of the projects;
  • Coordinate all day-to-day programmatic and operational activities of the project, ensure close coordination of project activities with other PIN departments and project stakeholders.
  • Drafting project documents including Terms of Reference, official letters, reports, contribution agreements etc.;
  • Perform regular field visits to assess the situation of the beneficiaries on the ground, monitor field activities and provide guidance to project partners and beneficiaries;
  • Liaise with project partners, grantees and other stakeholders to support the project implementation at various levels;
  • Contribute to the capacity building program within the projects and support to organize project events, meetings, workshops together with logistic and procurement departments,
  • Participate in the development of concepts and implementation of various events and activities undertaken by the project;
  • In cooperation with Junior Project Manager review narrative reports submitted by grantees; compile internal reports on the implementation of the project.
  • In cooperation with Communication Officer be responsible for creating communication material within the project.
  • Follow the PIN policies, procedures, and donor requirements in the implementation of all activities.
  • Keep project documentation (hard copies and on ELO) and work with finance and logistics staff to ensure all project procurements and contracts follow PIN and donor procedures.
  • Perform other duties that are essential for the quality implementation of activities.
